Looking forward to 2025

“It’s hard too trust your own eyes as Golden Horde enters the frame. There is definetely a lot of PIVOTAL about him.” Thierry Grandsir

With an athletic frame, plenty of bone and a powerful walk, Golden Horde shines through his eye-catching substance, which he obviously passes on to his offspring.

Across his first few seasons at stud, Sumbe has given Golden Horde a level of support proportionate to our strong belief in him, based on his objective qualities and reinforced by what we learnt being around him every day.

On the homebred front only, Golden Horde will be represented by a number of well-bred juveniles, including a filly out of Gr.1 Prix Maurice de Gheest winner Lazzat’s dam Lastochka, and two close relatives to Gr.2 Prix Daniel Wildenstein scorer Ramadan, a filly out of his full-sister Rastama and a colt out of his half-sister Rasima.

While Golden Horde will have a very strong second crop of racing age in 2025, both numerically and qualitywise, his fourth crop’s good looks keeps reminding us of Sumbe’s Tony Fry first season mantra: “The apple does not fall far from the tree!”
